The Skin Practitioner Course – Bridging the Gap Between Beauty College & Real-World Expertise
With nearly 15 years of owning a high-end salon and clinic, I know how challenging it is to find therapists who can truly meet the expectations of elite clients. My business, based inside a David Lloyd gym, catered to a wealthy, high-end clientele, meaning my team needed to deliver exceptional results, expert knowledge, and five-star service—far beyond what is taught in standard beauty education.
However, I quickly realised a major gap in the industry. College graduates, even those fully qualified, were not prepared for the standards of a real clinic, spa, or luxury hotel environment. The depth of knowledge, technical skill, and client experience expected in high-end settings was simply not covered in traditional beauty training.
I found myself having to retrain every new therapist from scratch, teaching them everything from advanced skin science and ingredients to high-end client care and treatment techniques. I searched for a course that could bridge this gap—but nothing existed.
